Hiring: diehard readers, writers, and thinkers ready to jump right in!
Seeking Super-Interns
Open Source is a weekly radio show on WBUR in Boston and a podcast on the iTunes hit parade. And we need your help!
We relaunched the show at the beginning of 2014, and now we’re looking for ways to grow what we do and improve on the basics. We’re always looking for smart readers, writers, web and audio producers to help us make radio and lively podcasts. Chris Lydon and Mary McGrath are veterans of old-school journalism and pioneers of the new media game, too (Chris created the first podcast in 2003).
You’ll get the equivalent of a grad-school education working with us, and you’ll be doing more hands-on work than you’d get the chance to do in larger radio ‘shops’. The job involves some of the traditional intern stuff — social media, cleaning up the website — but it can also be shaped to your skills and interests. The important thing is that you’re a passionate reader, writer, and thinker ready to jump right in.
It’s fun, it’s important work, and it pays. Send along a résumé to our executive producer, Mary McGrath (mary@radioopensource.org) and a note to explain how you can help.
